Training "Starting a private business and non-formal learning" in Kolasin and Mojkovac

From June 1 to 10, in Kolasin and Mojkovac, training was held for unemployed persons entitled "Starting a private business and non-formal learning". The training is part of the project "Entrepreneurship for Youth - Join Now !!" which is implemented within the initiative Web4YES - Initiative of civil society organizations of the Western Balkans to support youth employment.

The goal of the training was to empower unemployed people to build careers and start their own business, as well as to cope with the modern business environment. Participants in workshops and individual mentoring meetings are 20 unemployed people from rural and urban areas of the municipalities of Kolasin and Mojkovac who have shown interest in applying for grants from the Employment Service of Montenegro. Grants are worth between 3,000 and 7,500 euros and are intended for young women who want to start their own business and the long-term unemployed.

Upon completion of the workshops, participants received a prepared business plan and the necessary knowledge about the opportunities provided by government agencies and financial institutions in the process of applying for funding. During the training, candidates gained knowledge about what a good business plan should contain, whether their business idea is sustainable, what prerequisites must be met to start a certain business, what are the competitive advantages they need to have to succeed in the market. Also, participants were given individual mentoring for their specific business idea. Mentoring involved gathering information about a business idea from participants, creating a sustainable business plan, and developing a sufficient marketing strategy.

Participants also received a copy of the "Information on available resources for business beginners", which contains an overview of available financial and non-financial forms of support for business beginners.
